I had some really amazing Helles at GABF last week and, as it is still German beer month, I present- the Munich Helles. I often overlook the Helles, gravitating instead to a Dunkel or Pils, but my recent experience with them is changing my perspective and I intend to seek them out in the future. Congratulations to Deschutes, Templin Family, and Counter Weight for taking gold, silver and bronze respectively at GABF. If you are in Salt Lake City, make a stop by Templin Family, it was one of the booths that I kept going back to every night and easily my favorite.
